How Solaffle works

Free-to-play, two currencies, one verifiable draw. No purchase is ever necessary.

1. Connect your wallet

Solaffle supports Phantom and Solflare on Solana devnet. Wallets are fully non-custodial — you sign every action. Solaffle never holds your SOL and cannot move funds on your behalf.

2. Get your currency

  • Sweeps — always free. Claim the daily drop, use the no-purchase entry method, or receive them as a free bonus bundled with a Gold purchase. Sweeps are the only currency that enters real-prize raffles, and they are never for sale.
  • Gold — optional, for fun. Gold can be purchased for entertainment. It has no cash value, cannot be redeemed, and Gold play awards only more Gold. Buying Gold never improves your odds of winning a real prize.

See Sweeps raffles and No Purchase Necessary.

3. Enter a provably-fair raffle

Entering costs one free Sweeps entry — there is no way to buy in. Every entry is recorded on-chain and odds are transparent:

Your entries ÷ total entries = your exact chance to win. Entry counts update in real time as on-chain state changes.

4. Switchboard VRF picks the winner

When the deadline passes, a Switchboard VRF request is committed on-chain. The oracle reveals a verifiable random value, and the Solaffle program uses it to settle the winning entry. Commit, reveal, and settlement are three separate transactions — all inspectable on Solana Explorer and reproducible by anyone.

5. Win a real prize, or redeem Sweeps

Crypto prizes are escrowed on-chain and auto-delivered to the winner's wallet the instant the draw settles. Physical prizes ship after the winner submits shipping details. Sweeps balances can be redeemed subject to a minimum threshold and eligibility checks — see Redeem.

Floors and refunds

Every raffle sets a minimum entry count. If a raffle doesn't reach its floor before the deadline, no winner is drawn and every entry is returned automatically — the refund path is enforced by the program, not by an operator.

Prize types

  • SOL and crypto — escrowed in the program and auto-delivered to the winner's wallet the instant the draw settles.
  • Real-world goods — physical prizes are shipped directly to the winner after they submit shipping details.
  • Tokens and NFTs — escrowed on-chain and transferred to the winner on settlement.

Running a giveaway

Any project or creator can fund a prize and give it away to their community. Entrants play free, the winner is drawn on-chain, and the creator receives nothing from entries — it's a promotional giveaway, not a sale. See Run a Giveaway.
